On the Southern circuit… Brit Andersen of Branford, CT, and Mike Ward of Charlotte, NC, visited victory lane for the first time in their Midget careers on Saturday night at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway in the Twin-25-lap features for the USAC Carolina/Virginia Ford Focus Midget Car Series. Andersen, a former Northeast Quarter-midget competitor, is in his first year with the Midgets.
